Island House is located on Lord Howe Island, a place of extraordinary natural beauty.
We offer two houses for just 8 guests in a very private setting surrounded by a forest of Kentia palms and centuries-old Banyan trees.
Constructed of hardwood and copper with fully oak lined interiors our architect-designed houses are filled with books, art, authentic mid-century furniture, Cheminee fireplaces, copper baths and fully provisioned kitchens and bars. Spatially separated and screened to ensure privacy, our interiors are light-filled with high ceilings, fans, and extensive decks. Our gardens provide generous lawn areas, shady palms, and a number of fruit trees and herbs.
Island House is ideal for whole site bookings. However, we do offer individual houses upon request. Each house has been designed with flexibility in mind so that it may be enjoyed by individuals, couples, small groups or families.
The spirit of exploration runs deep at Island House. We have a dedicated room where guests will find a range of high-quality outdoor equipment to enjoy the many different experiences that the island provides.
Meet Kimie and Hiro, chefs of Island House. They are here to provide fresh produce for your kitchen daily, in alignment with your preferences. In addition, Kimie and Hiro prepare memorable lunch and dinner experiences upon request.
