For millions of years, nature has been working and evolving to create the timeless beauty that is Lord Howe Island, its unassuming appeal provides a private place to relax and explore. Inspired by these qualities we have created two houses for up to 8 people to enjoy in a private setting under a borrowed garden of centuries old Banyan trees and palms.
We are constantly searching for items that tell a story, about where they’re from, how they are made and that are driven by principles of quality. These items are not for show or to be admired from afar, they are there to be used and enjoyed as they were designed.
Exploration runs deep at Island House. We have a dedicated room where guests will find a range of high quality items to enjoy the many different experiences that the island provides. We have worked with passionate shapers, brands and producers to bring out the best of the land and sea. To carry through the sense of discovery indoors, we have beautiful musical instruments, painting supplies and games to enjoy at Island House.
We believe that hospitality means more than mere accommodation. It’s an opportunity to share the world we created with our guests, and invite them to make it their own for the duration of their stay.
