North House

This spacious light-filled two-bedroom house enjoys a large central living room with an internal seating area facing the forest. The bedrooms have been designed to allow guests to enjoy their own space and time away from the living areas. With large timber decks to the front and garden courtyards to the rear of every room, North House provides the perfect platform to relax in any season. In the warmer months, the 4 metre high ceilings and Boffi fans create a cool living environment. In the winter, the fireplace warms the living space to create a cosy and welcoming place to relax.

Sourced mainly from Denmark, the furniture in North House features pieces designed by Hans Wegner, Poul Kjearholm, Arne Jacobsen, Lange Furniture, and comfortable seating by Eilersen.

Art

The artworks in North House will change regularly. At the moment we feature a large work by Pintupi man, Mick Namarari Tjapaltjarri (c1923-98), who became an award-winning Papunya Tula artist.

We also feature three works by Katjara Butler who was born in the Northern Territory and is a most accomplished artist and winner of the Wyndham Art Prize in 2016 .

Regional Produce and artisanal drinks

The kitchen is stocked with fresh island-grown produce from our sister business “The Nursery”, as well as island-caught fish, regional produce from coastal butchers and delicatessens. In our bars we have sourced a wide variety of Australian and Japanese spirits, new and old world wines as well as pre-batched cocktails and cold beer.

Private chefs can be arranged upon request and do attract a further charge.
